I am 6 months pregnant and I was wondering what are the chances of my son having red hair? I am white and blonde hair blue eyes. My dad is blonde and my mom is frekly and auburn hair, my great grandma on my mom's side also has auburn hair. But my babies father is black, and has black hair.. I heard red hair skips a generation.. is that true? and what are my chances of my son having red hair?

I don't think red hair skips a generation, it's all down to genes...with your babies father being black, I'd say that there are better chances at your child being born and having black, if not dark brown hair. If you two continue to have babies, one of them might have different coloured hair, but more than likely they'll have dark hair, because the dark gene is more dominant while the red hair gene is recessive. My mom is white, blue eyes, light brown hair, and my father is African-American...I've got black hair and dark brown eyes. My sisters as well, we've all got black hair and brown eyes.
