Hi, my boyfriend just got the privilage of coloring his hair and styling it however he wants. In three months it turned from bleech with pink streaks, to blue with purple streaks, to lavender (but it turned his hair blue again). He was talking about change his hair red, and lavender, and all these other colors. He even mentioned a mohawk! Not that i don't like mohawks, i really do like them, but i don't like him changing all the time. I miss his normal hair, and I'm not the best with change. When i say "plz don't do that to yer hair. i like as it is now!" he thinks i sound like his mom (which i have good reason to). All I want of him is to pick a color and a style and stick with it for a while. For maybe more than two months. I love him, and he loves me, but with each new hairstyle, he acts a little different (he's still the same person, but is either a little more or less extravagant). How can I tell him to be a little more stable without "sounding like his mom"?
My boyfriend's fickle hair, can't he just pick freakin' a color?!?!?
Wow, you are being pretty patient with his attitude changing with his hairstyle. Does he ever ask you to help him? I hope that he settles down and finds one style that he likes. This sounds like it has been going on for some time, though. If his hairstyle changes his personality some, it's not just an external expression of individuality and you have a right to be unhappy.
Both you and his mother love him. That should count for something.

just keep giving sarcastic hints that you h8 his new hair, and when he finally chooses somin good, complement it. hell get the point eventually

i really think your being too patient and if he starts to get on your last freakin' nerve then tell him it's my way or the highway and dump him.
