Semi-perm hair color?

i've had my hair about every color (except green.. well one time by accident lol) and i think by far the one dye with the most staying power for those "funky" colors, is manic panic. there are some downsides to it but you wont have to re-add color as much with manic panic. all of the "funky" rainbow colors will fade badly, but in my experience manic panic pigment gel will stay for a long time before needing a touch up. manic panic has some awesome blues and purples, i had aftermidnight blue for a long time. i'm using their vampire red right now. you'll have to have blonde or bleached hair for any of those kind of colors to work, though. but some of the dark reds and blues will give a highlight to natural or darker shades of hair. good luck with whichever colors you choose =)

Semi-perm hair color?

Semi-permanent color contains no lightening chemicals, so you can only go for darker shades. Seeing as your hair is dark brown, sorry, but I don't think semi-permanent is an option for you. The color wouldn't show at all unless you'd get the hair you want streaked bleached first (which kind of defeats the purpose of semi-perm!)
